Jiwoong Cheh, b. 1968, Seoul, Korea, is a figurative sculptor. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Sculpture degree from Hong-Ik University, he came to the US in 2002. He has been an adjunct faculty at the New York Academy of Art since 2007, where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree.
Cheh has been working and studying in the sculpture field for the last 35 years with experience in sculpture engineering, forensic facial reconstruction, special effects, and high-end mold making.
He’s been a senior sculptor at Studio EIS since 2005, and a lead sculptor at Carole Feuerman Studio since 2008. Clients of Cheh include Tiffany & Co., the Smithsonian Institute, and Samsung.
Cheh enjoys woodcarving for himself and making furniture for his wife in his backyard studio in Staten Island, New York.
